Capability scope

In your own words. This is what SAM.gov can't tell us.

Why this matters. The "what you DON'T do" answer is the single biggest filter that stops us from chasing wrong-fit opportunities. Be honest — every "no" saves you an hour of reviewing bad cards.

What services do you provide? List 3 to 8 things you do — one per line. Examples: "HVAC work for federal buildings"; "Wheelchair ramp construction"; "IT and network support for government offices." What do you NOT do? Things you won't take on, no matter what. Examples: "No work outside the United States"; "No projects requiring security clearances"; "No design-only work (we always build what we design)"; "No contracts where the lowest bidder automatically wins." Where do you want to work? Pick the option that best fits your business. If you have specific states in mind, choose "Specific US states only" and we'll let you check them off.

Bonding capacity Construction businesses only. Two dollar amounts: the largest single project your surety will bond, and the total of all your bonded projects at the same time.

What contract sizes make sense for your business? Check all the ranges you'd realistically compete in — most businesses pick 1–3 adjacent bands. Bigger contracts win bigger dollars but need stronger past performance, more team capacity, and often partnering with another firm. Honest answers here mean fewer wasted hours reviewing opportunities that aren't a fit.

Under $10,000 — micro-purchases (easiest entry point) $10,000 – $250,000 — simplified acquisitions (great for new firms) $250,000 – $1 million — mid-tier (need solid past performance) $1 million – $5 million — large projects (usually need to team up with another firm) $5 million – $25 million — major contracts (proven track record required) $25 million+ — flagship contracts (only for established primes)

Other certifications or qualifications Anything that's not already in your SAM record. Examples: state-level minority-owned (MBE) or disadvantaged-business (DBE) certifications, quality standards like ISO 9001, industry credentials, or security clearances.

Past performance

Used in your proposal drafts so you don't re-type this on every bid.

Why this matters. Past performance is one of the heaviest-weighted evaluation factors in federal proposals. Fill this out once here, and your AI assistant will reuse it across every bid you write — saving you hours per proposal.

Teaming posture

Drives the Prime / Sub / Both decision on every opportunity.

Why this matters. Sometimes you can win as a Prime, sometimes you're better off as a sub on a larger team's bid. Your AI assistant uses this to decide which path to recommend on each opportunity — and to suggest the right partners.

Default bidding posture

Heads up — this affects your monthly teaming-partner lead-generation credits. These credits get used when your AI assistant goes out and finds people you can contact as teaming partners (not when it brings in opportunities — that's separate and doesn't draw from this pool).

Prime only — your AI assistant researches subcontractors who could team under you. Standard credit use.
Sub only — your AI assistant researches primes who might bring you on as a sub. Standard credit use.
Both — researches both subs and primes for every opportunity. Roughly 2× the monthly partner-lead credits of a single-posture choice. Pick this only if you genuinely bid both ways.

You can change this anytime from your account settings.

Partners you'd team with again 2–3 names. These get auto-added to your teaming candidate list. Companies you will NOT team with Competitors, prior bad experiences — your AI assistant filters them out of suggestions.

Outreach posture

Drives how your AI assistant drafts and delivers your outbound emails.

Why this matters. Your AI assistant drafts teaming and capability emails on your behalf — never sends automatically. You always review. We strongly recommend a dedicated outreach mailbox (not your personal email) so your AI assistant isn't reading your private correspondence.

Outbound email sender Use a dedicated business mailbox like bd@yourcompany.com or contracts@yourcompany.com — not your personal email. Two reasons it matters:
• Keeps your personal stuff private — your AI assistant can only see the mailbox you connect. A dedicated address means it never touches your personal email.
• Looks more professional — contracting officers take "bd@yourcompany.com" far more seriously than a personal Gmail or Yahoo address.
Don't have one yet? You can set one up in about 5 minutes through Google Workspace or your domain provider. We'll handle the technical connection together on our kickoff call — no tech skills needed. Email signature block Paste exactly as you want it on outbound emails — name, title, phone, etc.

Brand primary color A plain description ("navy blue", "forest green") or a hex code from your brand guide. Skip if you don't have brand colors yet. Brand accent color Your secondary color, used for highlights and accents.

Logo upload Used on the cover page and headers of your proposals, plus your email signature. PNG, JPG, or SVG file.

Last big section. Helps us focus your trial on what actually matters to you.

Why this matters. The trial works best when we know what success looks like for YOU. These answers help us tune the daily briefings, prioritize the right opportunities, and decide whether the Lite tier covers everything you need or you'd benefit from upgrading down the line. No judgment on the answers — honest is better than impressive.

How much do you currently spend per month on federal contracting tools and consultants? HigherGov, GovWin IQ, Bloomberg Government, proposal writers, BD consultants — all combined. Rough estimate is fine.

Where's your federal contracting business today, and where do you want it 12 months from now? Rough annual federal revenue. "We haven't won anything yet" is a perfectly fine answer for the first field.

What would have to be true at the end of your trial for you to feel it was worth it? A few sentences. Are you the person who decides what tools/services to invest in for your business? No wrong answer — just helps us know who else we might need to loop in. What's your biggest bottleneck in pursuing federal work today? In your own words. The honest answer here drives what we focus on first during your trial.

Why this matters. The more material you give your AI assistant up front, the more it sounds like you on the first proposal draft instead of a generic AI. Capability statement and a prior proposal are the two highest-leverage uploads.

Capability statement (PDF) A 1–2 page marketing document that summarizes what your business does, key past work, contact info, certifications, and codes. Think of it as your "business card" for federal contracting. Don't have one yet? No problem — we can help build it later. Best 1–2 prior proposals Upload them whole — do NOT redact. The AI needs to see real customer names, dollar amounts, and technical language to learn how you actually write and pitch. Your files stay private to your account and are never shared with anyone else. PDF or Word. Proposal templates and reusable content (.docx) Any Word documents you've built up — proposal templates, standard "about our company" paragraphs, scope language you reuse on bids. We'll learn your wording and reuse it on future drafts. Insurance certificates Upload whatever you have: general liability, workers' compensation, professional liability, or any other coverage. These get attached to proposals that require proof of insurance. Anything else we should see
